The Electricity and Electronics Section comprises 4 areas of work, whose teachers are dedicated to the training of professionals and research in:

This area is related to the fundamentals of electronics, which is provided to students through basic and advanced electronics courses divided into its two main branches: digital and analog. They are also provided with courses in electronic design, computer architecture, and analysis and processing of voice and image signals.

This area is dedicated to the teaching and use of industrial process control tools. It is oriented to topics on control theory, robotics and automation of its elements, and participates in the scientific and technological development in the field of industrial automation.

This area is responsible for providing students with the necessary training in the field of electrical circuits, electrical machines, electrical systems and related subjects, as well as promoting the development of research in the use of electrical energy. Its research fields are the use of renewable energies, rational use of energy, agronics and industrial electronics.

This area is responsible for establishing the role of engineering in biology, medicine and the network of health facilities, so that they contribute to a better quality of life for people. To this end, it carries out research, training and project development activities, with a multidisciplinary character in areas such as clinical engineering, rehabilitation, telemedicine, neurosciences and design of clinical services.
