626-2000 annex 4672
In the Control and Automation laboratory, practical experiences are conducted based on methods of analysis, design and simulation of control systems and robotics, with temperature, pressure, flow and level process control modules, using instrumentation, control and automation technologies. These experiences correspond to laboratory courses taught to undergraduate and graduate students.

The Control and Automation Laboratory has three plants that are used in undergraduate and graduate courses:
Part of the project "Advanced Control and Automation of Critical Processes in Reverse Osmosis Seawater Desalination Plants".
The aforementioned equipment is also used for the development of theses and publications, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The workbenches are also equipped with CompactRIO controllers, Allen Bradley SLC-500 PLCs and Logix5571 PLCs.
Each computer is licensed with MATLAB, LabVIEW and Rockwell Automation's Enterprise Toolkit.
We are currently investigating the use of ozone for wastewater treatment.
