In the Advanced Control laboratory, research work is carried out in the fields of automatic control and robotics to improve the operation of industrial processes. Process modeling techniques; control strategies for plant automation; fault diagnosis systems; intelligent algorithms for machine control are developed.

MATLAB is used as the main tool. Regarding equipment, we have a Universal Robots UR5 robot arm and a hydraulic process control plant with four coupled tanks.
We are currently working on the implementation of a plant in which we want to develop methods for detecting leaks in pipelines.
