The CAD/CAE laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Section is an academic environment with specialized hardware and software for Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). This laboratory is designed to provide students, graduates, researchers and professors with an optimal environment where they can teach academic classes in the specialties of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, apply theoretical/practical concepts, practical projects and industrial solutions.
In the CAD/CAE lab, users can use specialized software to model and simulate products and systems, from mechanical components to complex structures. The lab includes workstations with specialized hardware and software capabilities (CAD/CAE/CAM).
Students have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in digital design, finite element analysis, design optimization and virtual prototype validation. This allows them to acquire key engineering competencies that are highly valued in today's industry.
In summary, the CAD/CAE laboratory of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú is a crucial center for the training of engineers and professionals in the advanced use of design and simulation technologies, preparing them to face the technological and innovation challenges of modern engineering.
